The air mattress comes in traditional mattresses sizes, so is very functional and adaptable for many uses and is very easy to store when not in use.

These air mattresses are often manufactured from rubber-impregnated fabrics or durable plastic and are equipped with a firmness controller and a electric pump. This type of air mattress is often called an air bed. When refined and designed to this level they become more of a permanent fixture or piece of furniture in the home.

This is unlike the air mattress that is used for camping, backpacking and swimming, this type of mattress is made from a lighter material that is easier to damage or puncture. These are often called sleeping pads in America.
